Outstanding Alum: Early Career Professional
Christopher P. Albert has established himself as a young leader throughout the finance space. Based in Hartford, he began his career with Deloitte in 2006 as a tax consultant, from which he quickly advanced to manager in 2010 and senior manager in 2013. In 2016, he was admitted to the partnership, where he serves as a business advisor and consultant to many of the firm’s largest clients in the insurance industry. Albert has been an active member and speaker at various trade industry groups and further takes a prominent role in campus hire recruiting in the Hartford area.
Albert is grateful for the education that prepared him for his career and remains very engaged with the University of Hartford as a volunteer mentor for the Barney School of Business. He has helped to cultivate a strong relationship between the University and Deloitte through student internship programs, corporate visit days, and mock interviews. Albert returned to campus in February 2020 to speak with BAR 211 students, a Barney School of Business course designed to help students explore and prepare for their careers.
Albert received his first undergraduate degree in accounting from Wagner College in 2006 before attending the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business, where he earned his Master of Science in Accounting and Taxation in 2010.
