A Long History of Strong Partnerships

UHart is proud to partner with many great organizations and companies, including AETNA, Cigna, Goodspeed Opera House, Hartford Public Schools, Pratt and Whitney, and Stanley Black & Decker. 

Our campus has a history of creating partnerships. In fact, the university was created in 1957 from a partnership among three academic institutions (The Hartt School, the Hartford Art School, and Hillyer College), and several external partners in the Greater Hartford community. Since then, our partnerships have flourished at the regional, state, national, and international levels.

We are committed to deepening our activities with our current partners and creating new partnerships for the mutual benefit of our partners, our students, our faculty, and communities at every level.

Our partnerships are mutually beneficial - UHart students get the professional experience they need to be successful in their careers and in return our partners get access to a diverse and vibrant talent pipeline and innovative thinking from our students, faculty, and staff.

A great way to find talent for your company and organization is by offering internships or participating in our career fairs to connect with students first-hand.

UHart has a longstanding tradition of engaging in community service. Partner with us and our students to make a difference in the community. 
Access to talent

From business, to engineering, to drum corps and more, UHart students each year find the perfect job match before they even graduate. These opportunities often come from internships, shadow programs, or other partnership programs.

Access to Resources

Hands-on field experience is some of the best learning you can give students. As an example, students in UHart's School of Communication's "Sports Beat" course replicates the responsibilities and expectations of a sports reporter who covers a particular “beat,” with students spending their class time in the press box of the XL Center, home of the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

Guest Lectures

Every year the Hartford Art School invites visiting artist to offer intellectual energy of interacting with established artists, designers, and critics who come to campus to give lectures and critiques.
