Off-Campus Trips

outdoor camper close up

The Kinderplace and Li’l Place camp experience extends beyond the boundaries of campus. Each session includes real world, hands-on fun and learning to complement the exciting activities happening in the classrooms.

During a typical session, campers get the chance to partake in stimulating educational adventures such as hayrides at a local 4-H farm, climbing aboard a clipper ship at Kid City, flying to Mars at The Children’s Museum, or the Library for story hour. Transportation for all off-campus trips is provided by the University of Hartford’s bus service. All field trips will occur based on discretion of health and safety regulations at the time of camp. In addition, a variety of on-campus field trips are scheduled each session. Whether it’s going to Auerbach Theater for the final performance by Summer Place campers in the acting class or visiting the Summer Place Circus class, each unique adventure adds to the overall camp experience!
