Registration Information
All registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and early registration is encouraged. Enrollment in each program is limited to 20 campers per session. Please note: Li’l Place campers must be toilet-trained prior to the start of camp.
You will receive confirmation of your child’s registration within two weeks. A medical form, required by state law, is included with the confirmation. The completed medical form is due by May 1, 2025. By law, children are not allowed to attend a Summer Place program without a medical record on file.
Dates, Hours, and Fees
Six Kinderplace and Li’l Place sessions are offered, each running concurrently with Summer Place sessions. Each is offered as either a full-day (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or an early-day (8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) session.

Extended Hours
Child care before and after regular program hours is available for participants in the Kinderplace and Li’l Place programs. Supervision is provided by Summer Place counselors. Campers receive a snack and juice, and have an opportunity to participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Extended hours run from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. and from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Bus Service
Bus transportation is offered on three separate routes, with a several convenient bus stops at locations throughout Greater Hartford. Bus service on these centrally located buses is FREE of charge. We also provide door-to-door bus service to West Hartford residents for a fee. Every effort is made to ensure a safe ride and to minimize the amount of time spent on the bus. Summer Place counselors supervise the campers on each bus. Note: Bus times are subject to change by DATTCO.

Door-to-door bus service is for West Hartford residents. Exact pick-up and drop-off times will be scheduled and sent to you directly approximately one week prior to the beginning of each session. Pickup and drop-off times will be determined 1-2 weeks prior to the start of each session. Every effort is made to ensure a safe ride and to minimize the amount of time spent on the bus. Summer Place counselors supervise the campers on each bus.

Flex Plans
If your employer offers a Flexible Compensation Plan under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code, Summer Place fees may be considered dependent-care expenses that are not subject to either withholding or Social Security taxes.
