Registration Information
All registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and early registration is encouraged. Enrollment in each program is limited to 20 campers per session.
You will receive confirmation of your child’s registration within two weeks. A medical form, required by state law, is included with the confirmation. The completed medical form is due by May 1, 2024. By law, children are not allowed to attend a Summer Place program without a medical record on file.
Dates, Hours, and Fees
Six Kinderplace and Li’l Place sessions are offered, each running concurrently with Summer Place sessions. Each is offered as either a full-day (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) or an early-day (8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) session.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
Summer Place bus service and extended hours options are available for Kinderplace and Li’l Place campers. Please note that afternoon bus service and extended hours are not available to those enrolled in the early dismissal option.
EXTENDED HOURS
Child care before and after regular program hours is available for participants in the Kinderplace and Li’l Place programs. Supervision is provided by Summer Place counselors. Campers receive a snack and juice, and have an opportunity to participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Extended hours run from 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. and from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

BUS SERVICE
Bus transportation (by Dattco) is offered on three separate routes, with a total of 11 stops at convenient locations throughout Greater Hartford. Bus service on these centrally located buses is FREE of charge.
We also provide door-to-door bus service to West Hartford residents for a fee. Pick-up and drop-off times will be determined one to two weeks prior to the start of each session. Every effort is made to ensure a safe ride and to minimize the amount of time spent on the bus. Summer Place counselors supervise the campers on each bus.

Flex Plans
If your employer offers a Flexible Compensation Plan under Section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code, Summer Place fees may be considered dependent-care expenses that are not subject to either withholding or Social Security taxes.
