Carol Coppa, a senior program manager at Eversource in its transmission project controls group, has been a valued member of the energy company for 47 years.

Both her educational credentials and professional accomplishments are impressive. She has a master’s degree in operations management from Rensselaer, a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the University of Hartford, and a master’s degree and advanced certificates in project management from The George Washington University.

Coppa has been a leading advocate for some of the most important initiatives at Eversource, such as developing project management improvement strategies to enhance communication and resource coordination between departments. Currently, she leads a team that has several goals, including the implementation of a new project information system and the development of training materials to promote the consistent use of project management practices. Coppa also heads the professional development function of new hires within her department.

Her earlier positions included leadership roles in design, engineering, project planning, and project management for transmission, distribution, generation, and information technology.

Coppa is a longtime member of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and a dedicated sponsor of the development of engineering students in her community. She has devoted many hours to uphold the SWE mission by supporting and encouraging women in the STEM professions, judging local competitions, participating in career fairs, and teaching a class at the University of Hartford. Coppa was given SWE’s Local Legacy Award and achieved Fellow Grade in 2023.
