Performance Organizations Listings
The representative organization of the a cappella groups at the University of Hartford. It includes a variety of diverse groups who produce artful and entertaining performances for the community. Contact them if you are interested in starting your own group!
Why should you join this organization?
We ensure a great A Capella culture through funding, programming, recruitment, retention, and networking. The A Cappella Coalition hopes to provide students with the opportunity to perform with talented musicians and to be educated and entertained by groups from on campus as well as from across the country.
A Cappella groups include HartAttack, Hawkapella, L'Shir, and Uharmonies.
Dramatis Personae is a student drama club that creates theater for theater's sake. We provide a chance for everyone who loves theater to hone and practice their craft.

Fenomena is the University of Hartford’s hip hop dance team. The team is co-ed and dances to the latest hits and a mix of older songs that brings people back in time. Team members all have a strong background in dance. Our Mission is to expose the culture of hip-hop dance by entertaining our peers at the University of Hartford.
Why should you join this organization?
Fenomena gives back to the community via community service and by teaching community dance classes, with outreach to young dancers in Hartford being the main focus. We aren’t just dancers who want to win competitions; we are dancers who want to leave a legacy after we leave Hartford!
The gospel choir was the first performance group to become a part of the Multicultural Organizations. Our mission is to spread the gospel through song and perform at numerous venues.
Why should you join this organization?
The University of Hartford Gospel Choir is an organization that strives to positively represent the University as Ambassadors of Christ through song. Our goal is to promote the name of Jesus Christ. Through events and community service, we hope to enrich campus life as well as the surrounding communities.
The purpose of Hartford Spirit is to bring spirit and school pride back to the University of Hartford through school events, community events, and student engagement. Celebrating school spirit through cheer and dance while also showing our sports’ athleticism is a way to unify people of all backgrounds and promote self expression in the student body.
The University of Hartford Dance Team performs at Men’s and Women’s Basketball games. The dance team represents the Hartford Hawks at various community events. Team members have the opportunity to travel to conference tournaments. They compete and perform both locally and at NDA nationals in Daytona, FL.

Tryouts are held in May, and the first week of school if necessary

If you have a passion for dancing and love the on-court game day experience then UHDT is for you! The Hartford Hawks Dance team is a full-year commitment.
Do you enjoy playing your instrument? Would you like to continue doing so in the company of a great group of people? Then the University of Hartford Pep Band is for you. We play at all of the home games for both the University of Hartford Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams. We also travel with the teams to the America East Championship and work closely with fellow spirit teams; Hartford Cheerleading and the Dance Team.

It’s a great way to meet new people and play your favorite instrument. We perform at the annual Midnight Mania celebration, marking the official start of Basketball season, and at a number of other on-campus events!
RedTail Records is University of Hartford's student-run record label, devised with the task of providing a platform for students to record, release, and market their compositions, with the intent of enriching the greater local music community.

Looking for a laugh? Once a month stop by Wilde Auditorium to get your fill. SLM is a student improv group which performs original material for a small donation of a dollar. Stop Laughing Mom has performed alongside the nationally known improv group Tick Tick Boom.

Why should you join this organization?
This group will give participants a chance to do what they love and further their maturity within the acting field. We will address social issues and show the humor within different problems and situations. We are striving for a club that will be successful in many years to come.
Thank You Five offers an opportunity for undergraduate students on campus to participate in musicals in a variety of ways including acting, directing, playing in a pit, choreographing, and more! All productions will be selected and put on from start to finish by student members.
The Uha Steppaz Club mission is to find ways through step and dance to express personal spirit and enthusiasm by promoting school pride, as well as, supporting and working within the community.
