Undergraduate Programs
Business Analytics and Managerial Economics
Prepare to work in a growing industry. More and more businesses are looking for people who understand data and how it impacts their bottom line. Set career goals and then use them as a base to develop your own program of study, including internships and electives.
Finance
A background in finance sets you up for success no matter what area of business you choose. Our partnerships with prestigious companies, including State Street Corporation, Bank of America, and MassMutual, give you access to top industry professionals. These networking opportunities often lead to internships and even full-time jobs.
Risk Management and Insurance
Known as the “Insurance Capital of the World,” Hartford is the perfect place to prepare for a career in this industry. Intern with local companies, including The Hartford, Travelers, and Aetna, to get the hands-on experience you need to land that first job.
Actuarial Science Minor
Our local corporate partners often place our students in actuarial internships and permanent positions. This program prepares you for these numbers-focused jobs, which are consistently ranked among the top jobs in the United States.
Master of Science in Business Analytics
This program is designed to give you a strong understanding of the fundamentals of analytics. Obtain the necessary quantitative, analytical, and visualization, and presentation skills to advance your career in the growing "big data" business culture.

The Barney School of Business recommends minimum system recommendations for incoming undergraduate students in the Department of Finance, Analytics, Risk Management, and Economics. These are recommendations, not requirements, and lab facilities are available for student use.
