This year, UHart acknowledges and celebrates Asian, Pacific Islander, and Desi Heritage Month in April. Nationally celebrated in May, APIDA is an acknowledgement of the diverse histories, cultures and contributions of individuals and collectives in these communities. We recognize that APIDA individuals and communities have played a vital role in our institutions and society, often in the face of systematic and historical injustices.
As we strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone belongs, we commit to amplifying APIDA voices, fostering a campus that values diverse cultures, and addressing issues that impact APIDA students, faculty, and staff.
