About Barry Stein, MD:
Barry is currently the Chief Clinical Innovation Officer and Chief Medical Informatics Officer for Hartford HealthCare (HHC) as well as leader of “HHC’s Center for AI Innovation in Healthcare”. where he also practices as a Vascular and Interventional Radiologist and is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. He has held numerous leadership positions at HHC including Chief Imaging Informatics Officer, leading the visioning and development of a globally recognized “Enterprise Imaging Platform”; Vice Chair of Radiology; Chief of Cardiovascular MRI & CT; and Director of the Advanced Imaging and Quantitative Analysis Core Laboratory.
About CANDACE CARLSON:
Candace Carlson is a seasoned health care operations executive with deep expertise in healthcare analytics, revenue cycle management, IT systems, budget and reimbursement, and AI-driven transformation. As Senior Director of Innovation and Informatics at Hartford HealthCare, she translates strategic vision into real-world execution, advancing health care through cutting-edge AI and data solutions. She played a pivotal role in building the pillars of the AI Center for Health care at Hartford HealthCare and has led the development of a multi-modal data platform powering AI/ML projects. Collaborating with top-tier technology partners, Candy is at the forefront of integrating AI into healthcare, ensuring innovation is both impactful and scalable. Reporting to the Chief Clinical Innovation Officer, she continues to shape the future of health care by bridging strategy, technology, and operational excellence.
