Experience the Magic of Hartt's Annual Collage Concert

Flyer

Hartt’s annual Collage Concert weaves music, dance, and theater into a continuous performance that showcases all the offerings at the school and will take place on Feb. 14 and Feb. 15. The event celebrates the multitude of talent at the Hartt School and offers the opportunity to experience the full range of performing arts disciplines.

The concert is also Hartt’s gift to the community, and a wonderful element of this concert is it is one of the few times all Hartt’s divisions perform collectively in one show.

Collage has a long history at The Hartt School. According to Hartt’s Dean Dale Merrill, “I have the privilege of curating this special production, and I am thrilled to be its new steward. If you've ever hosted a big potluck dinner, you might know what it's like to put this concert together—you're never quite sure what people will bring, but somehow it always works out beautifully.  As curator, I help our faculty narrow down the pieces their students will present.  Then comes the job of arranging the order of the performance.  While there are many factors to consider, my overarching goal is to take the audience on a 75-minute artistic journey in which one piece flows to the next in seamless—or sometimes discordant—fashion as the production requires.”

The event is free for all. The concert will be held at Lincoln Theater on Friday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m., and again on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 3 p.m., and attendees are required to reserve their free tickets in advance via the Box Office.
