Updating Your Payroll Address for W2s

As a reminder, if you are a student, staff, or faculty that is currently employed or leaving employment with the University, please update your “Payroll Address” with the Human Resources Department as needed.

The Payroll Address is the address that shows on your check stubs and your W2 and is updated through Self-Service. The Payroll Office uses this address for all communications by mail and we want to ensure that when the W2s are produced, we have the most accurate address to mail your W2 to. 

To update your Payroll address in Self Service, first login to Self Service. Under the “Personal Information” tab, click “View/Update Personal Information”. This can also be accessed here.

On the next page, look for the section that says “Address” and see if you have an address listed under a header titled “Payroll”. If you do, you can click the purple edit button (it’s a pencil shaped icon) right under the address, overwrite the old information, and then hit “Update” to save the changes.

If, for some reason, you don’t have a Payroll address, you can use the “Add New” button to the right side of the Address section, however if you’re an employee with the University, a Payroll address should have already been established in the system for you, so that you may simply edit the current one on file.

Also, if you are leaving employment with the University, the Employee portion of Self Service is inactivated. You will not have access to your paystubs or prior W2s (if you have elected W2 Electronic Consent).
