Do you have an upcoming student organization/ club event you want to advertise? Maybe you do not have space booked for the event but want to advertise the event. How do you go about doing that?
The answer is found in the student handbook and the Solicitation and Posting policy. The highlights of this policy include:
UHart promotes usage of the TV monitors on campus to advertise campus/club org events. Campus/ club organizations are asked not to post paper fliers, particularly on windows, doors/ entrances to buildings. Paper fliers will be removed.
Bright Screens are TV monitors found in high traffic areas around campus. These screens are to be used by all student organizations, student clubs to display electronic fliers. The PNG file for the electronic flier is easily uploaded to UHart Hub. This is the only way to post electronic fliers on campus- whether or not physical space is needed (such as tabling).
For staff and faculty who want to post an electronic flier (to advertise a uhart policy; on-going survey etc) submit the PNG file to the building manager responsible for maintaining the bright signs.
Please keep in mind that a posting request that includes content that promotes behavior that does not align with the policies in The Source (the student handbook) will not be approved for posting. The final determination of what is posted on campus is ultimately made by the respective office/area responsible for managing TV monitor(s).
