Reminders About Medical, Dental, Vision, and Dependent Child Life Insurance

Any employee who has a dependent child enrolled in University group medical, dental, vision, and/or dependent life insurance must notify HRD within 30 days of any changes in dependent eligibility status to ensure proper benefit continuation processing per plan guidelines and/or applicable law.

Dependent children enrolled in University group medical and life insurance maintain eligibility until the end of the month in which they turn 26. Eligibility for dental and vision coverage will terminate at the end of the calendar year in which they turn 26. A dependent turning 26 years of age is considered a qualifying event under IRS guidelines.

Please notify HRD using PeopleAdmin by following the instructions below, then submit the Qualifying Event form.

When logging in please click the 'Existing Employees Click Here' link at the top of the page.

After logging into PeopleAdmin please click on the following:

(1)  3 blue dots at the top left of the screen
(2)  Employee Records

Once you see your task list follow the instructions below:

  1. Click Available Forms to the left of the screen and select the Qualifying Event form.
  2. When you have completed the form please click the Save Final button at the bottom of the form; you will be prompted to type in your electronic signature as proof of completion, then click Submit.
  3. The form will then move along to the next person in the queue for approval.
