CETA Architecture Students Take On The Big Apple

Earlier this semester, a group of CETA students took their study of architecture to New York City.

Members of UHart's chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) started their day at the Whitney Museum of Art. There, a guide explained different aspects of the industrial architecture in the area and how it relates to the area's history.

They then went to the south end of the High Line, the old elevated railroad that was converted into a park, and walked north towards Hudson Yards. Along the way, they learned about some of the neighborhood's contemporary architecture. One notable stop was Little Island, a park built on stilts.
