Barney's Small Business Practicum Course Provides Real-World Solutions to Local Businesses

Students from Barney’s Small Business Practicum course recently completed semester-long experiential learning projects with real-world businesses. Last week, students presented projects to Upper Albany Main Street and Gateway Self Storage. Beverly Redd, Executive Director of Upper Albany Main Street and the owners of Gateway Self Storage were able to see student’s real-life suggestions for their businesses.

Participants in this course were either part of a project team or had individual partnerships with the businesses, of which there were nine total clients. There were 17 students on teams that supported and met with multiple businesses throughout their projects and 8 students that had one-on-one partnerships with businesses.

The experience demonstrates Barney’s continued collaboration with Upper Albany Main Street.
