Students in MKT 325 recently completed an experiential project where they acted as consultants to “client” companies. Representatives from three companies gave presentations to the students with background and a statement of objectives at the beginning of the semester.
Last week, the students created and presented marketing communications plans, giving them the opportunity to apply class material in “real-world” conditions. There are six groups of students, two of each are assigned to a client. They competed for the best analysis and plan—judged by the clients.
Two teams presented their marketing plans to Bill Selig, Susan Waite and Bec Santos of Bill Selig Jewelers. Two other teams presented their marketing plans to Leah Schroeder and Sylvia from Team Veranda Realtors. Finally, two other teams presented their marketing plans to Brian Magna and Colleen of Magna Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine Center.
