UHart Radio/WWUH Wins Best Station Award

award

On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Connecitcut Broadcasters Association (CBA) presented WWUH Station Manager John Ramsey with an award naming WWUH (91.3 FM) the "Best Non-Commercial Station" in the state! The award was presented at the CBA's annual meeting at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, Conn., where they also inducted five members into their Broadcaster's Hall of Fame.

"It was an amazing honor to represent the University of Hartford and accept the award on their behalf at the annual CBA meeting which had close to 300 state radio and TV broadcasters in attendance. All-volunteer WWUH was up against some stiff competition, including big public broadcasters with large paid staffs as well as stations based at UCONN, Wesleyan, Trinity and other CT schools. It was clear that the committee who reviewed the nominations took WWUH's committment to the community, it's unique programming lineup and the professionalism of it's on air presentation into account when determining that the high honor should go to UHart Radio."

WWUH, now in it's 56th year, broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the lower level of the East Wing of the Harry Jack Gray Center on the UHart campus. Our programming can be heard in central CT on 91.3 FM and also on line at wwuh.org.
