Pathways Exhibition Continues in the Shaw Center

In conjunction with Pathways: Hartford Art School Faculty Show, on view in Joseloff Gallery through Dec. 14, the Art on Campus program is pleased to present a small selection of artwork by faculty with artistic practices who teach in programs elsewhere at the University of Hartford.

Mari Firkatian, Professor of History in Hillyer College, confronts environmental issues in her multimedia collages.

Margaret Tarampi, Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of University Interdisciplinary Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences, explores representations of perceptions to gain insight into our everyday experiences.

Katharine Owens, Professor of Politics, Economics, and International Studies, and Director of the Rell Center for Public Service in the College of Arts and Sciences, applies her research into litter to artworks that draw attention to the dire impact of nonrecycled plastics on marine life worldwide.

Taken together, these Professors’ varied practices are a testament to the critical importance of artistic expression as both a creative outlet and a mode of communal engagement.

This "annex exhibition" will be on view in the Shaw Center in Hillyer Hall through the end of the fall semester.

The Faculty Annex Exhibition is sponsored by the Art on Campus program at the University of Hartford.
