Hartt Dance Alumni Making Leaps and Bounds

Hartt Dance alumni are known for infusing their artistry and creativity wherever they go, and this holds true for many recent graduates. Director of Dance Stephen Pier recently shared accolades from alumni and echoed his excitement and enthusiasm of their recent achievements. 

These successes include:  

  •  Alexzander Larson '23 and Kennedy Davidson '24 performed in NYC's Lincoln Center with the Table of Silence Project, which is “a performance ritual and call to action for peace from the cultural capital of America to the world.” 
  •  Kaitlyn Combs '24 has a contract with Ellen Sinopoli Dance 
  •  Shannon Courtney '24 joined the Massachusetts company BoSoma
  •  Meghan Keller ‘24 is an apprentice with Hartford Ballet 
  •  James O'Gilvie '24 joined the renowned Philadelphia Dance Company, Philadanco, where Pier also taught with this past summer and in his words, had “the pleasure of introducing O’Gilvie as their newest member!”
  •  Kristina Shaw '24 is now performing with New York Theater Ballet 
  •  Grace Smith '24 joined the American Dance Institute in Seattle 
  •  Alli Tomsik '24 is performing with West Hawaii Dance Theater 
  •  Caitlyn Richter '23 is in her second season with Repertory Dance Theater 
  •  Anissa Sroka '23 is a member of the Dance Team of Boston Celtics 
  • Victoria Sames '17 can be seen performing in Twyla Tharps's production at NYC's Little Island, which according to Pier, is a “major gig in the dance world!” 
  • Caitlyn Richter '23 has joined Utah's Repertory Dance Theater  

Finally, Eran Bugge ’05 danced in her last performance as a principal with Paul Taylor Dance Company this season. Bugge offered reflections on her career and her time at Hartt in our previous story.  

As these alumni continue to make impactful career achievements beyond Hartt, our current students at Hartt are deepening their artistry this season. You can catch some of them on stage at the Senior Dance Recital on Oct. 18 and 19, and the Fall Hartt Dances concerts held Nov. 14–16. These events will also be live-streamed as well.
