On Thursday, Oct. 3, a group of electrical and computer engineering students and faculty, led by Professor Xin Shen, attended the Yale Engineering/Industry Seminar in New Haven, CT. The event, hosted by Professor Rajit Manohar of Yale University, featured Matt Fojtik, Principal Research Scientist at NVIDIA’s Accelerators & VLSI Research Group.

Fojtik shared an in-depth overview of NVIDIA’s cutting-edge research, detailing his team’s focus areas, research methodologies, and success metrics. He also highlighted notable past projects and how the semiconductor field has transformed over the last decade.

Following the presentation, a Q&A session allowed students to engage with Fojtik, who offered invaluable advice for aspiring engineers. Afterward, our students had a unique opportunity to connect with him one-on-one, discussing their specific interests and gaining insights into their future careers.
