Student Involvement Fair Recap

Over 350 students gathered on the GSU Lawn for the Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion's Student Involvement Fair on Sept. 13. This signature event was filled with a lot of excitement because it allowed students the opportunity to meet the current members of clubs and organizations. If students were interested, they were encouraged to join the club at the fair. Clubs and organizations ranged from academics to club sports to performance groups to affinity groups to Greek life. Students enjoyed live performances, raffles, sparkling cider, and hors d'oeuvres as they walked around the fair.

Aaron Issacs, dean of students, said he loves the involvement fair because “students have the opportunity to get out, to meet other students, and find their place/a place where they belong.” There are many activities taking place on campus, “so when you have a beautiful day like this for students to come out, feel connected, build community, find their place, how could you not love the Involvement Fair.”

President Ward had the opportunity to make new connections and learn more about clubs and organizations on campus. Students were eager to meet him as he walked through the crowds visiting each booth.
