Dear University of Hartford Community,
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who played a part in welcoming the almost 2,900 residential students to campus during our move-in weekend. The four-day opening of campus was a resounding success, providing a smooth and positive experience for our students and their families.
This achievement is a testament to our community spirit and collaborative efforts. Thanks to the revamped move-in process, expertly overseen by the Fall Opening Group (FOG) under the leadership of Katie Kitchens, the entire weekend ran extremely well. The beautiful weather was an added bonus, contributing to a lot of happy parents, positive social media, and an enjoyable move-in experience.
The dedication shown by staff across campus was truly inspiring. Thank you to the volunteers that stepped up to assist with registration, transportation, block parties, programming, parking, and helping students settle into their new homes. A special thank you goes out to our Facilities Team and Vendor Partners, Residential Life, and Procurement, who worked tirelessly around the clock to ensure our campus, residential areas, and facilities were in top shape.
Your commitment to our students and to each other has set the stage for an incredible start to the academic year. Thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and unwavering dedication to the UHart community.
