Hartt School professor, James Jackson III, will be returning to conduct the renowned Capitol Symphonic Winds, the adult wind ensemble of The Hartt School Community Division.
Jackson serves as the Director of Bands at The Hartt School and is highly regarded nationally as conductor and musician. He recently retired from the United States Coast Guard Band, and is also a professor of Euphonium.
The Capitol Symphonic Winds, fondly known as 'Cap Winds' is the region's largest auditioned community concert band. The ensemble performs advanced band literature with at least two concerts each year.
