Members of Barney’s Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) recently got back from an unforgettable trip to Orlando, FL for the 2024 BAP Annual Conference. Beta Alpha Psi is a national honorary organization devoted to recognizing and encouraging scholastic and professional excellence for students in accounting, finance, and management information systems. This includes providing opportunities for self-development, service, and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.

As BAP describes this year’s conference, “This year's theme, 'Embracing Innovation, Empowering Professionals,' sets the tone for an inspiring journey of growth, learning, and collaboration.” A member of Barney’s Beta Alpha Psi says, “This premier event brings together BAP members from across the globe to explore the latest accounting trends, career opportunities, and the future of the industry. It’s an incredible chance for students and faculty to network, gain valuable insights, and collaborate on new ideas.”

Kylar Maldonado ‘25, M’26, Reporter for Barney’s Beta Alpha Psi, Mu Chi Chapter, says “I was surrounded by like-minded students and professionals, learned about best practices to become more innovative, connected with professionals, and gained insight from insightful keynote speakers.” However, the fun didn’t stop at the conference—students also enjoyed a magical visit to Disney World!
