Farewell to Maureen Wimberger

After more than two decades of dedicated service Maureen Wimberger will be retiring on August 2. Maureen has been an integral part of University of Hartford since 1998 beginning her career with Commencement before moving on to Summer Place, and eventually settling in Bates House as the Transfer Admission Coordinator and, most recently, the Manager of Transfer Admission.

Maureen’s commitment and passion have left a permanent mark on the University community.  Her efforts have helped countless students navigate their academic journeys, ensuring smooth transitions and fostering a welcoming environment for all. Beyond her professional achievement, Maureen has been a cherished colleague and friend to many here at the University of Hartford.

As she embarks on this new chapter of life, we have no doubt she will keep busy and active — having more time to dedicate to her love of the beach, swimming, biking and spending time with her husband Matt, her three children and two grandchildren.

Please join us in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to Maureen for her exceptional service. Stop by Bate’s House on Friday, Aug. 2, at 1 p.m., to grab a sweet treat and wish her a fulfilling retirement filled with joy, relaxation, and wonderful memories.
