Premenstrual Syndrome and Exercise Study

Do you deal with premenstrual symptoms? Researchers in Exercise Science are interested in learning about the prevalence of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) among women and whether there are physical performance differences among women with PMS and without PMS. Participation will occur in two phases:

Phase One: survey completed via Microsoft Forms

Phase Two: 2 visits to the UHart Exercise Science Labs for performance testing

You don’t have to be a part of Phase Two to be in Phase One of the study! At the end of Phase Two, you will receive a report on your performance testing data which includes body composition assessments, muscular strength, power, aerobic fitness and balance.

For more information, check out the link to the Phase One Survey and/or email the PI, Barbara Sanchez, at basanchez@hartford.edu. This study will run throughout the summer and fall 2024!
