Leave Report Lockdown for End of Fiscal Year

Leave Reporting for Exempt Faculty and Staff will be locked starting on Monday, June 24, at 11:59 p.m., as the University moves to the end of the current Fiscal Year. This means that the SM 11 (June 1 to June 15), SM 12 (June 16 to June 30), and SM 13 (July 1 to July 15) pay periods will be locked as the University rolls over into the next Fiscal Year. For SM 11 and SM 12 pay periods, you will have until just before midnight on Monday, June 24, to fully enter and submit both leave reports. Supervisors will have until noon the following day on Tuesday, June 25, to approve these.

If supervisors need their employee groups to submit earlier because they need more time to review and approve final leave reports, supervisors may require their employees to submit some time before the current deadline as described here, but the final supervisor approval deadline will always remain at noon on June 25. A reminder that leave reports must always be fully submitted to a "Pending" status in order to be approvable by the supervisor, as "In-Progress" leave reports are leave reports that have not yet been submitted.

Leave Reporting will also be locked for the first pay period of the new FY. SM 13 (July 1 to July 15) will be reopened for leave report submissions on Friday, July 12. We encourage all exempt faculty and staff to mark this date on their calendar if they are using any PTO during this pay period so they can submit it timely once it reopens for submission.

PTO balances for all regular faculty and staff (exempt and non-exempt) who are eligible for PTO will be refreshed at some point by the middle to the end of July. These take time to update so there should be no concern if PTO balances are not immediately refreshed at the beginning of the new FY.

The Payroll Department wishes a happy summer to all and would like to thank everyone in advance of the PTO and Leave Report rolls.
