The University seeks to promote from within to the greatest extent reasonably possible. Promotion and transfer within the University depends on qualifications, demonstrated ability and job performance as well as availability of open position opportunities.
Any regular employee with one year of completed service in their current position who meets the minimum requirements of an open position may apply and will have their application for promotion or transfer given consideration with all other applicants.
Employees wishing to apply for any available position at the University of Hartford are encouraged, but not required, to discuss their intentions with their immediate supervisor. At certain points during the interview process, however, it may become necessary to contact the supervisor.
A list of open positions can be viewed on the University’s applicant tracking site: https://hartford.peopleadmin.com/
Open positions may be posted daily and employees are encouraged to check back often. There are also tools within the applicant tracking portal that can be set to alert you of openings that might be of interest to you.
Please feel free to reach out to Tina Berrien, Manager Talent Acquisition and DEIJB, with any questions about the application process. For more details regarding the Promotion and Transfer process, please refer to Chapter 3.02 in the Employment Manual.
