Like so many Hartt School alumni, Chris Tsanjoures turned a passion into a profession. Tsanjoures, a 2010 graduate of Hartt’s Music Production and Technology program, is now Director of Product Management for Rational Acoustics, an international leader in acoustical analysis software for the live sound industry.
“My new role relies on over a decade of experience in the specialized field of acoustical test and measurement,” shares Tsanioures, who held various roles with the company since 2012, beginning with an internship right after graduating from Hartt.
Tsanjoures uses his technical insights for product analysis, development, and strategic planning. His responsibilities include managing the lifecycle of Rational Acoustics products while increasing market awareness and enhancing customer relationships.
After interning with the firm, he spent nearly two years as a touring guitarist for a band from Portland, Oregon, before a full-time position opened that company leadership felt would be a good fit for his skills.
“I loved my time at Hartt,” Tsanjoures says. “Like most arts programs, it’s what you make of it yourself that counts, I was keen on taking advantage of as much as I could when I was there. Access to a group of amazing musical friends, music faculty, as well as technical and performance spaces was priceless. My days were surrounded by amazing musicianship and plenty of opportunities to improve my skills.”
When Tsanjoures first came to West Hartford he had already been exploring his passion for sound engineering and acoustics, a process that helps make musicians sound as good as they deserve. The Hartt School surrounded that passion with new skills and tools that ultimately contributed to his new role at a company for which exemplary acoustics solutions are a corporate mission. The University of Hartford and the Hartt School are very proud of his accomplishments.
