The Barney School of Business is excited to offer our annual Study Abroad program in northern Spain again from March 8 – 16, 2024.
Experience eight days in Spain while learning about workplaces where shared governance and ownership, and sustainable processes and production are the norm. Learn about the history, culture, and social and economic bearings on decisions of businesses of northern communities in/near Arrasate-Mondragon. Visit the Mondragon Corporation complex while staying in the award-winning “green city” of Vitoria-Gasteiz. Visit and sight-see in San Sebastian, St. Jean de Luc in southern France, the La Rioja region, Bilbao, and Madrid.
Victoria Gagain '23, a marketing major who went on the trip this past spring, says "The Business & Culture in Northern Spain study abroad trip was an unforgettable journey. Witnessing thriving, environmentally conscious cities and businesses was inspiring. We explored Northern Spain and even ventured into France, broadening my perspective and cultural knowledge."
The course is included in undergrad tuition and graduate students pay half tuition. The travel portion of this course is expected to cost approximately $3,300. This includes airfare, ground transportation between locales, hotels, group excursions, breakfasts, some lunches, and at least two group dinners. The course can receive IB undergraduate or graduate credits. MSOP students are welcome! The Barney Dean’s office will provide $1,000 scholarships for each Barney undergrad participating in the course.
A deposit is needed no later than Nov. 27, with the remainder due in December/early January. Refundable before the flight deposit date or if a course does not fill.
