Trans Activist Michael Alroy to Visit UHart

Join Hillel and the Office of Student Engagement and Inclusion in welcoming trans activist Michael Alroy to campus. Alroy will share his journey of growing up in a religious family, serving in the Israeli Defense Force, navigating his experiences as a transgender man in Israeli society, and how he overcame fear to become the person he is today.

Alroy’s talk, “Life Begins Where Fear Ends,” will take place Thursday, April 27, at 7 p.m., in the Hillel Center on the first floor of University Commons, room 116/118. The lecture will be preceded by dinner at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Alroy’s appearance is made possible in part by Hillel International’s Israel Action Program.
