Hartt Faculty Marcus Thomas Named Vice President of MEIEA

Hartt Faculty Marcus Thomas has been named Vice President of the Music and Entertainment Industry Educators Association (MEIEA®). MEIEA is an international organization formed in 1979 to bring together educators with leaders of the music and entertainment industries. MEIEA boasts members from the U.S., Canada, Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands. 

The primary goal of MEIEA is to facilitate an exchange of information between educators and practitioners to prepare students for careers in the music and entertainment industries. In addition to professional educators, MEIEA membership includes professionals in entertainment law, media development, radio, marketing, communications, music production, publishing, and other related fields. 

Thomas most recently served as the organization’s DEI Liaison.
