The High Holidays are Approaching

September 14, 2022
Submitted By: Lisa Langsner

The Office of Jewish Life at the University of Hartford offers service options for all types of religious observances. Students can sign up for either a familiar service option OR try something new! Each of these local congregations are welcoming and inclusive to Jewish students of all backgrounds and observances.

Services, meals, and transportation are FREE for students! Advance registration is required for meals and transportation to ensure we get you where you'd like to be on Rosh Hashanah. You may also drive yourself, if it is in your custom to do so. Yom Kippur services on campus do not require reservations.

Register for services, transportation, and meals here: https://forms.gle/zrZsjmnd8AkRxa5QA

We encourage students to inform their professors well in advance of any days they will need to miss in observance (or travel to) Jewish holidays. The University of Hartford recognizes that it often schedules classes on Jewish holidays, and the Office of Jewish Life makes it easy for students to prepare for these excused days by sending out a fillable PDF at the beginning of each semester. You can download it here.
