Associate Professor Colleen Krause Research Featured in National Publication
Women’s Health in Focus at NIH, a quarterly publication of the National Institutes of Health, included information in its latest issue about Associate Professor of Chemistry Colleen Krause’s research on a quick, cost-effective method of detecting breast and other cancers. Krause is working with colleagues to develop disposable inkjet printer test chips to detect a protein that is a biomarker for breast cancer.
Students from the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture and College of Arts and Sciences are also assisting the research team. Students include Yasmin Albur ’21, a biomedical engineering major; Chris (ChakShum) Chan ’22, a biology major also minoring in psychology and chemistry; Hannah Sugrue ’21, a biomedical engineering student; and Lauren Winters ’22, a biomedical engineering student.
