#UHartInspires: Javier Colon ’00 Records Tribute to Teachers During COVID-19
Hartt alumnus Javier Colon ‘00, winner of the first season of NBC’s “The Voice,” recorded a message in song for West Hartford teachers that was released on Teacher Appreciation Day, May 5, 2020. Colon is a West Hartford resident and has three children in West Hartford schools.
According to an article in West Hartford News, West Hartford Schools Superintendent Thomas Moore asked Colon to record a song for teachers and his staff added visuals.
