University High School for Science and Engineering (UHSSE) graduated 88 seniors on Tuesday, June 11 at a ceremony held in Lincoln Theater. Four of the graduates, (l-r) Joshua Durant, Sanaa Harper-Gulley, Savannah Jackson, and Natalie Salgado, will continue their education as members of the incoming UHart Class of 2023.

One hundred percent of the 2019 UHSSE seniors applied to and were accepted to more than 40 two- and four-year colleges or universities across the country. Eight-two percent of the graduating class plan to attend a four-year institutions with the balance attending a two-year or vocational institution or entering the military.

UHSSE, located on Mark Twain Drive on campus, is a magnet school and a partnership between the University and Hartford Public Schools. As an early college high school, it integrates the college experience through courses and other opportunities to expose high school students to higher education options. Qualified students are able to take college courses at UHart and earn college credits.
