Dear Parent,
Congratulations to both you and your student for reaching this point in college application process! How best to support your student’s college education is among the most important decisions a parent can make.
My name is Celeste Evans and I would like to tell you about my experience as a parent at the University of Hartford. My daughter, Carla, is a sophomore studying management at the Barney School of Business. Our family has found UHart to be a community where parents can get involved on their own, while allowing their students to independently navigate their own experience at the University.
One of my favorite UHart memories is my first Hawktober event, the annual homecoming and family weekend celebration. As a parent whose student joined the UHart family during the pandemic, it was great to feel the energy on campus. The weekend was filled with fun, friends, family, and fall foods.
In the classroom, I was able to participate as a business professional in a roundtable networking conversation held with Barney School of Business students. UHart is a fabulous place where you can execute as much or as little involvement as you want, both on and off campus.
I believe UHart has a warm environment, approachable administrators, and a unique Parent Network Council that is vital to student success. The Parent Council is a group of UHart’s most engaged parents that are committed to sharing their time and expertise with the University and its students. It is so key for all parents to get involved!
Because of the talented faculty and real-world experiences provided by the University, my daughter is being prepared for her future career in management. The University has done a fantastic job of connecting with Carla and has helped her balance all the demands of a college student.
Thank you for allowing me to tell my daughter's story and congratulations on choosing UHart! I genuinely hope your student loves their time at the University of Hartford like Carla has. It has been a wonderful experience for our family, and I wish the same for yours.
Sincerely,
Celeste Evans
