Kelsie Facey '23 is a senior Finance & Accounting major in the Barney School of Business. After graduation, she will be joining Travelers as a full-time participant in the Finance Leadership Development Program. Kelsie says “I have made many important connections during my time in Barney and I plan to leverage this network as I move forward in my career.” She is passionate about analyzing numbers and understanding how companies maintain their financial position.
Along with her career and education, she is an EBoard member of the Barney Leadership Council, a member of The Women’s Advancement Initiative: LEAD program, and also a Barney Student Ambassador, assisting the office of undergraduate admissions in the recruiting of new students. Kelsie says “Get involved. Leverage all that the University has to offer.” Her favorite thing about UHart is that it offers a community where students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion.
Kelsie’s Barney experience was heightened by the career ready focus and professional development she experienced. She completed an internship during her undergraduate experience and says that “the required classes in Barney helped me to prepare for this opportunity and also various networking opportunities have strengthened my skills as a professional.” She explains that she had a great experience here at UHart and genuinely enjoyed interacting with my professors and classmates. Additionally, the small classroom sizes made these interactions easier.
