Caitlin will be graduating with a triple major from the Barney School of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences. She studied marketing, advertising and public relations, and data analytics and managerial economics. Outside the classroom, she was a member of the DI women’s golf team. According to Maralack, “I learned a lot about all different aspects of life given the opportunity to be involved with so many things on campus.”
Upon graduation, Caitlin will be moving to Seattle, WA for a position with Amazon as a Global Sales Representative. She was introduced to Amazon through a sales internship position held over the summer before her senior year. As a result of her job-performance and the connections made during the internship, she was hired on as a full-time employee.
Maralack says “the Barney School of Business prepared me with a high level of business, leadership, and etiquette knowledge to gain the necessary opportunities to work for the best companies in the world.” She worked closely with her professors, utilizing their office hours to get the help she needed and discuss opportunities for future growth.
Her advice to incoming students? Caitlin says students should “get to know professors because they are really helpful and have resources to help you succeed. Also, understand your strengths and weaknesses to help control your time management because you are now an independent student and will have to balance a lot to make the most of your time and experience at UHart.”
