Eric Sims ’19, BSEE, presents capstone project at the ASEE (American Society of Engineering Education) Zone 1 Conference.
The College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture (CETA) graduate Eric Sims ’19, BSEE, presented the capstone project "Liquid Fueled Rocket Flight Control System" on behalf of his teammates David Norris ’19 and Xavier Flowers ’19 at the ASEE (American Society of Engineering Education) Zone 1 Conference. The conference was held in Niagara Falls, NY, on Saturday, April 13. Eric's travel was supported by the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department in CETA. This specific capstone project was also sponsored by a student project CT Space Grant.
Eric Sims ’19, BSEEThe most exciting part for me is not just that everyone was excited about learning new things, but there were many people from many different engineering disciplines. I was able to network with graduate and undergraduate students about their research projects. Their areas of interest spanned geotechnical engineering, nanomaterial science, metallurgy, green energy, MEMS, and many more topics.
Sims sends a special thank you to Associate Professor Ying Yu for the opportunity to attend the conference and meet with other students and educators. It was a wonderful opportunity for him to present the work of his team to other engineers.
