University alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff, and friends were encouraged to “Soar for More,” and that’s exactly what they did – with 1,808 donors from more than 35 states raising $556,847 during the 24-hour challenge.
Last year, 1,518 donors contributed during Day of Giving. This year, the University had been hoping for 1,700, and the UHart community easily surpassed that goal. Nine decades of alumni were represented among the donors.
The money raised helps UHart continue to invest in cutting-edge facilities, fund vital scholarships, support innovative research, and enhance student life across campus.
Along the way, students, parents, faculty, staff, and alumni had plenty of opportunities to connect over food and drinks, share stories of UHart, and build the community that makes the University such a special place to be. But for Hawks, giving isn’t a one-day event, but a way of life. Click here to learn more about other ways to support the University of Hartford.
