Rhett Tock is a recording engineer, classical producer, and educator from the Midwest. Having the benefit of studying at McGill with multiple researchers in the topic, Rhett’s specific interests include immersive and binaural audio.
Rhett’s work has taken him to multiple arts centers including Butler’s Schrott Center, Tippet Rise, Tanglewood, and The Banff Centre with diverse talents represented across them all. Projects he has worked on include a CBC documentary film score, medici.tv live streamed productions, an award-winning Indigenous Classical album, McGill Opera, and an album dedicated to queer and disability representation. Rhett takes to heart his experiences in music for social advocacy and brings this diversity mindset to his teaching. He was formerly a student member of the Audio Engineering Society’s Diversity and Inclusion committee and the McGill Music Graduate Society focused on accessibility standards of venues.
