Jayda Hazelett

Born and raised in Fort Wayne, IN, Jayda began dancing at the age of three, training primarily under the instruction of Beth McLeish at Project Ballet. After high school, Jayda went on to earn a BS in Ballet Performance at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music, as well as an Outside Field in Spanish. She graduated in 2024 and joined Ballet Hartford the same fall.

Jayda began teaching creative ballet at 15 years old as a certified Leap N' Learn instructor. She soon began to teach all ages and levels of ballet, and furthered her teacher training with a pedagogy course at Indiana University. Jayda finds much joy in teaching and sharing the gift of dance with others.
