Julie joined UHart in 2018 after holding grants management positions at several Hartford-area nonprofits including the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. Prior to her grants career, Julie spent several years teaching at the university level, with her last role as Assistant Professor of Photography at Marywood University. Favorite aspects of her work with the OSP include working directly with faculty and other folks across campus, finding creative solutions to problems, and experiencing the strength and depth of the important research and professional practices taking place across the University's many departments. Julie completed UHart's Laura Johnson Leadership Program in 2024 and is currently working on her MBA. Outside of work, she stays busy with her two young kids, is an avid reader and nature lover, and is working on infusing creative practices into daily life.
