William Major is the interim associate dean for Hillyer College, Department of English chair and a professor of English. He teaches several of the department's classes, including English Composition and Literature, American Literature, and American Environmental Literature.
"I enjoy watching students grow and develop their intellectual abilities," Major says when describing teaching Hillyer students.
Major's research interests include:
- Empathy and literature
- Environmental theory and ecocriticism
- New agrarianism
