Leana Reisman studied on a full scholarship from the American-Israeli Foundation "Kerene Scharet" at the Conservatory of Music and graduated with a masters degree from the Tel-Aviv Academy of Music in Israel. She performed extensively in solo and chamber music recitals in Israel, South Africa and the U.S. In addition, she had a special appearance in the Yehudi Menuhin Masterclass on CPTV and was featured in WQXR McGraw Hill's Young Artist Showcase in New York City.
Leana Reisman was an accompanist for the string department at The Hartt School and currently is a piano faculty member of the Hartt Community Division. As a ballet accompanist, Mrs. Reisman played for the Israeli Ballet Company, PACT Ballet Company in South Africa and the Hartford Ballet Company.
Teaching credits include positions at the Technikon Pretoria in South Africa, Central Connecticut State University and The Hartt School. Music history, music appreciation, solfege, music theory, ear training and the art of ballet accompaniment are the courses she has taught.
