Neal Humphreys graduated from The Hartt School, University of Hartford with his bachelor's and master's degrees in Cello Performance. Since 2008, Neal has worked in various administrative positions at the University of Hartford and is sought after for his knowledge and experience with student-related process and procedure.
Still an active chamber musician, Neal performs with Entwyned Early music, a trio founded by Hartt Professor Emerita Demaris Hansen and her husband Eric, largely playing music that spans from the Medieval through Baroque eras. For the past 12 years, he has been playing the viola da gamba, an early string instrument popularized in the Baroque era.
