BA in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from University at Albany - SUNY
Aaron Hochheiser has been working in the field of Entertainment lighting for more than 20 years. As a New York native, he has worked throughout New York State including: Syracuse Stage at Syracuse University, the Hangar Theater, and 30+ Theaters in NYC. He has spent time as the Master Electrician at Playmakers Repertory Company at UNC Chapel Hill and then moved on to be the ATD/Lighting Designer for an events company in Raleigh, NC. Additionally, he was the Master Electrician at Hartford Stage from 2007-2020. While at Hartford Stage he has worked on two shows that have transferred to Broadway: A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder and Anastasia. He frequently designs at Playhouse on Park in West Hartford, including "In the Heights" and is the resident lighting designer for Stop/Time dance troupe. He has worked as a technician and designer in multiple disciplines of lighting including theater, dance, and events. He is passionate about entertainment lighting and what it can bring to a performance.
