Teaching Focus: Director of Clinical Education Nikolaos Galiatsatos teaches Mechanical Ventilation and Resuscitation I/II, Respiratory Pharmacology and various hands-on Respiratory labs with the Respiratory Care program. Galiatsatos utilizes high-fidelity patient simulation training and clinical-based scenarios to develop students’ cognitive and psychomotor skills, while emphasizing emotional stability, maturity and empathy.
Galiatsatos has more than 10 years of acute care experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilators, emergency airway management and endobronchial ultrasound bronchoscopies. Professional interests include novel respiratory biologics for severe asthma management and strategies to reduce patient-ventilator asynchrony for ventilator liberation.
