Dr. Michelle Forfa has been an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator since 2018. Her clinical expertise is in the adult and aging populations, specifically in the subacute, long-term care, and home-care settings. She teaches Communication Skills for Effective Practice, Assistive Technology, and Professional Practice Seminar, in addition to supporting the Level I and Level II Fieldwork courses. Her research interests include non-traditional models of supervision and innovative fieldwork sites. Dr. Forfa is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association’s Academic Fieldwork Coordinator Special Interest Section, the Fieldwork Educator Community of Practice, and holds an executive board position with the Connecticut Occupational Therapy Association and the New England Occupational Therapy Education Council.
